Anyone ever beeen racing in Ireland?

I'm Irish and I love my racing!

Have you ever been to an Irish racecourse?Which one?What did you think of it?

i have been many times,curragh,fairyhouse ,listowel,but the best times were when i was riding in point to points ,i used to fly over and ride on a sunday.mullingar was a favourite spot and i had many a tussle with T.Martin round there.When i retired from being an amateur jock.i took a horse and raced it at the festival of point to point racing ,at the best eating village in ireland(Kinsale)spread over 2 days (and nights) it was very wet and windy but i was treated like a king and enjoyed every second.

I have been to the Curragh and Punchestown. I liked them both but Irish bookies are tight so it is not so easy to win.  They do not like competition, so they find their own markets i.e. without the favourite, without the first 2 favs, without the first 3 favs and even 4 sometimes.  There also seem to be more surprise results than there are in UK.

Have only been there once, I got to see The Curragh though. Totally awesome! LOVED the fans and how passionate they are about their racing.
