I rolled my car down a 25ft drop about a week ago. I had two other people in the car with me, my best friend and her boyfriend. The boyfriend walked away with a black eye he gave himself. lol. My best friend walked away with a concussion. I walked away with a concussion, bad bruising from the steering wheel, and stitches. I know I am very lucky and so are all my friends, but I still can't get over it. I miss my car, my phone, and my cds. And most of all I feel so guilty that my friends were in the car with me. =(

Anyways, I'm not looking for sympathy but I just want to know how do you cope with things like that...?

  1. You lost a car

    You lost a phone

    You lost a CD

    I lost an aunt.

Just remember that ALL of that stuff is replaceable and prolly will be. A car accident took my aunt's life and she cant ever come back. Just realized that you are lucky to still have your life.

Also just remember how lucky your are and close to death you and your friends were. Life is too short and did you really want it to be that short?

  2. i have, i just got in 1 about a month ago. i pushed a dodge sedan up the curb almost to the sidewalk, bended its axle, i totaled my car

  3. Exact reason why teenagers should have restricted driving laws.  Don't worry I'm a teenager too, at the last of my teenage days and I got into an accident about over a year ago.  I'll never get over it, but you have to realize to be alot more careful on the road, and just to perform mature driving.  I know I used to go speed limit x2, but now I'm super safe.  The not driving anyone under 25 law protects you, whether or not you think so.  But it does suck to put your friends in danger.

After the first week, you will get some tramuatizing nightmares.  There's not really that much you can do, try to sort things out with insurance.  If you have an expensive insurance, they may pay for it.  Try to stay away from driving for a while, but once you do again, be alot more careful on the road.  I didn't go through a 25 ft drop, but I caused 6,000 dollars in damage.  (luckily I wasn't hurt)  Sometimes you can try to milk some money out of insurance companies or something, but in the end, it's coming out of your own bill.

But hey, you're safe.  Your friends are safe.  God really blessed you right?
