  1. here is a site where you will be able to find information

  2. 2 words for Switzerland . . Busy, expensive. If you thinking of good places to go go to Zurich (possilbe Basel) especially if you ant night life. I f you can also see if you can visit Luzern and Bern!! About the beer and subs there probably like in North America just twice the price. And about he languages, don't worry about it to much, it's quite the language. It's almost  like not knowing french. If you really don't know any, your not screwed, there's lots of people that know English just fine (they might struggle but so will you.) Have fun

P.S. to answer your quesiton, yes i've been to Basel!! (Yes=Ya and Hello=Hallo)

  3. Well I went there on a school ski trip (many years ago)so I couldn't comment on the nightlife. All I can remember was the amazing clock that came to life with figures dancing around when the hour changed and lovely Swiss chocolate.

  4. Basel (along with all of Switzerland) will be very expensive for you.  The night life is pretty good, with a few clubs and nice cafes/pubs, too.  I'd recommend checking out the old part of town, the Rhine, and just spend some time on foot exploring the city.  You will be fine speaking English there - the only people I found that struggled with English were the older ones.
