Anyone ever been to the Calgary Stampede?

What did you think of the rodeo. Was it worth going? Also did you visit Ranchmans while you were there and what were your thoughts on that.

I actually worked at Stampede about 4 years ago at the Rodeo, I am no cowboy but watching what those guys do for a living is CRAZY!!!! Also Ranchmans is SUPER busy during Stampede, just like everywhere else.

I enjoyed the rodeo, and I'm not really a rodeo-goer.

I enjoyed the native pow-wow, too.

much of the rest seemed to be standard midway fare.

I did not go to Ranchmans.

The rodeo is good if you enjoy that.    I personally prefer the chuchwagon races/fireworks/show at night.   However, you could easily do both.

Ranchmans is a bar.  A cowboy bar but a bar.   There are many places to party during stampede.
