We want to know if anyone had a good or bad time on this specific ship? We have a inside stateroom category 4D and they got us to choose our room number 7363. We will be on the Empress Deck. I think thats deck 7. Any opinions, advice is appreciated.

  1. I have been on the same ship in the bahamas... weird

My personal choice is anywhere near the top. the higher you are is easier to get everywhere

  2. Yea, I was on it a long time ago, I think it was the Victory, but I really can't remember. But, as far as the Carnival Cruise line goes, it is really fun. They have a lot of kid-oriented activities, like scavenger hunts and that kind of stuff. Plus if you have never been to the Bahamas it is REALLY beautiful. Even if you don't like the cruise, you will love the Bahamas! I hope that helps, sorry I can't be more information!

  3. I am not sure of name of ship, but I heard cabins were very tiny on these cruises.

  4. Have cruised Carnival before - not that ship, but the Holiday... we have cruised carnival and royal caribbean.... Carnival's cabins are much roomier.... great cruise line...

Our family carnival cruise web page is here.....http://www.kid-friendly-family-vacations...

  5. We have actually travelled on the Victory - when it was brand new.. but not to the Bahamas..

We went to St. Thomas, San Juan and St. Croix.

The ship is actually gorgeous.  (At least it was 5 years ago when we sailed).  Carnival has bigger cabins than the other ships... and the Empress Deck is up pretty high, so you shouldn't have a problem with noise.

We learned a hard lesson - on our first cruise. We bought a cheap cabin, and they had us on the lowest level of rooms, and we listened to tow motors all night long, moving stuff around on the storage level underneath us.   Since then, we always pay the extra money and get on a higher deck.. it's worth the money to have a quieter room.

The ship has a mythical sea theme, if I remember correctly.. (We've been on 6 Carmival ships).  There were 5 bars, I think?  And the casino was very nice.  I think all the Carnival ships are nice.. especially the ones that have been inaugurated in the last 6 years.. the newer ones..

I think being on Deck 7, you're up high near the pools and the spa.  I'm not sure if you have children or not.. but they have an excellent Camp Carnival playroom for the kids.. and the staff when we went was phenomenal.  We all had a great time!

One thing to remember.. pop and alcohol is expensive.. they let you take free ice tea, lemonade, and fruit punch whenever you want from the "food court" upstairs.. so always carry a cup with you and when you're walking through the restaurant there.. grab a cup of punch and carry it with you... It'll save you money!

  6. I have not been on that ship but have heard good things about it. Check out the website below; it has reviews from people who have cruised on the specific ship, and they are very detailed and informative. Furthermore, they have message boards, where you can post about your room and see if anyone has been on that deck or maybe that room. This website has been a great tool for me as I plan my trip on the Carnival Valor.
