I was trying to book a trip, and when I clicked book, it said details of the trip selected are no longer available. I guess no more seats on a flight. So activity still went to my card, but not the cost of the trip, just a verificateion charge of 1 dollar...AND a frikkin Charge of 61.50!!! Both were just pending at the time.

I called them up and they said both charges are in fact verification charges, but specifying why 1 is 1 dollar and the other is 61.50. They called them "fallback" charges or something like that. That was over the weekend. So I check today, and now the 61.50 charge has gone through, and the 1 dollar charge is still pending.

Should I flag the charge or should I wait for them to give it back? And how can they give it back, now that its beyond just pending?

  1. Hello, Why should they charge you if they were not able to get seats for you? Make sure they explain the situation to your satisfaction. Ask to speak to a supervisor and see if they can cancel the charge. After all it was not your fault. Read through their fine print and FAQs if you see a similar situation. Good luck.

  2. Dispute the charge with your credit card company.
