  1. In 1978 my mother went to a psychic who told her she sees blood everywhere and that someone in the immediate family would die. She said it was associated with the number 3. My mother thought it would be one of her children who would die. She mentioned the dream to me three weeks before the event happened. Three weeks later my brother, the third child was killed by a drunk driver.

  2. I'm still waiting for the money they promised.  I'm getting older now would be nice!

  3. I imagine accurate predictions happen from time to time.  The reason for this is manifold.

First of all, many psychics make high-probability predictions.  They also know what it is a person is seeking answers to (money, job, romance, children, etc.)  So since most single people will get married and since most people are dark haired, it would be a high-probability guess that a single person will marry someone dark-haired and good looking (since none of us want to think of our spouse as unattractive).  So a psychic can say, "You will marry a dark and good-looking person.  There will be ups and downs and I see three children in your future.  You will be moderately wealthy."  These are all high-probability predictions.

It is also possible the victim may act on the instructions of the psychic, thus assisting the pretender in fulfilling prophecy.  The psychic also relies on our natural inclination to remember the hits but forget the misses.  She could say, "You will marry a dark, handsome person, have three children and be moderately wealthy."  Well, maybe you marry a blond who used to be brunette.  Perhaps you're poor but are too proud to call it anything but moderately wealthy.  Maybe you have two children, but there was that one miscarriage.  If you believe psychics you will help their predictions come true.

  4. I have never had a psychic reading. My daughter in law and her sister did and they said it came true about their marriages and she also told them that they were sisters in another life but my daughter in law who is the youngest, was the oldest. She does act more mature.

  5. I would never pay a person to give me a reading. I got mine free and unasked for.

Nothing came true that I can remember.

  6. Yes, my grandmother predicted I would grow up to be a jerk, and Voila...

  7. Not one that I had to PAY for!

  8. When I was a teenager, one told me 3 consonants that would be in my future husband's surname.  I thought I would meet someone meeting that description, but years passed without , and I forgot about it.  I was married quite a long time when I remembered  -  and yes, she had got it right

  9. I'm sure many have. Psychics typically make very general predictions based on information obtained from cold reading.

  10. I don't waste my time looking to "psychics" to tell me about my life. I am the best authority on my past (heck, I lived it!). As for the future, I'm up for the ride minus the "tour guide".

  11. id say most are fake but only a few are real...there was something bothering me that happened in 2002, and i couldnt get answers from anyone, so i tryed a psychic, she gave me some information that was right, but later on when i looked back, i think someone i knew told her what to tell me just so id feel better, she knew to many little details, and i felt no energy around me while i was with her..she was a con for sure... then a couple of years later i went and had my tarot cards read and nothing came true....but then my sister went through our local paper and picked out a phone psychic...soon as he came on a strong connection was made, i felt really strong tingles through my body, and without him knowing he told my sister that he could feel powerful energy, he said he felt like he was going to get blown out of his window...now without telling him anything he tapped into my situation, which wasnt your everyday problem...i wasnt looking for love, money and happiness...something totally off the topics, and he was spot on with a comment he made ...i just wish i had kept his number,...the others just told me stuff i wanted to hear, which i wasnt the bit interested in what they had to say.....

  12. my uncle has a fortune teller who told him everything about his past and current....only made one mistake in all....

  13. I once had a psychic tell me that a friend named John had died. Gee whilikers John is such an unlikely name, it couldn't have been possible that this person was casting out probabilities. Of course paranormal phenomena is real. Here's a prediction. You will die.

  14. I've had many that were true, are true and will be true.
