We booked for my friends bday and are all thinking of ways to smuggle liquor on the cruise. Will they open it or what?

  1. I just put it in a plastic bag and put it in with my clothes.  I had two bottles of vodka. If you are a little scared to do that I have heard of people emptying out a big bottle of mouthwash with no flavor and fill it with liquor.  Good luck! Have fun on the cruise. :)

  2. I'd be careful what you try to smuggle anywhere... I know some cruise lines have policies that you can't bring your own liquor on board and any liquor purchased will be stored for you and will become available at the end of the cruise.

I'd say try to bring it on and the worst that will happen is that you will have to get rid of it. But there's plenty on the ship already, so I'd just say use what the ship sells!

  3. Having done this many times my suggestion is to purchase the alcohol in plastic bottles. I wrap them in bubble wrap (if i have it) or a t-shirt if I dont, then place it in a ziplock type bag. So that it doesnt raise any suspician in security I pack it with all the shampoos and what nots. Ive been on 10 cruises and never had a break or it taken, Have fun

  4. Just pack it in your clothes and that is all you have to do. The worst thing they would do is to take it away from you until the end of the cruise, but with thousands of bags going on a cruise ship, it is not too likely they will even have time to search too many bags looking for booze. I, myself have brought as many as 7 bottles of wine with me and no one said a thing.

  5. i mix Jack and coke in soda bottles and put it in my checked bags all the time

  6. I've heard of people doing that (flights and cruises) and I even did it... i brought back Brazil nuts from the amazon in Peru (flight)... just put it under all your clothes not on the bottom but in between. I wouldnt risk it now cuz security is more strict since 9/11

  7. Fill up some water bottles or listerine bottles......they will never ask... the people who clean your room might get a little curious and take a few shots themselves... I put a whole 12 pack of bud light in my suite case and they never said a word!!!

  8. ha ha we are doing the same thing...drinks on the cruise lines are way to expensive. but just buy the little airplane bottles (theyre plastic) and then use the juices on the boat......

    there you have it.

  9. Your not going through customs,so why are you worried?

If they want to take it off you, they will.

  10. I took a cruise a few weeks ago, and you are actually. permitted to bring liquor on the ship, so no need to smuggle it.However, you may not drink it at dinner, and if you are caught, you are fined. There are also many bars on board, and you can buy drinks too.
