Anyone ever go on the 3 day diet? It says you can lose 10lbs in 3 days?! Does it work?

I want answers from people whove been on it.

I need to be 110% sure it'll work cause Im on the 2468 diet and Im not getting off of it until Im POSITIVE the other diet will work.

I dont care if its unhealthy or anything, iight?

So, does it really work?

  1. You will loose some weight, but i doubt 10 lbs. most of the weight will probably be liquids.

    Any weight lost in a short time usually is not permanent.

    Think of it this way, if you loose the weight do to the restriction on food, what will happen after the 3 days when you don't restrict it?

    You will ultimately just gain it back and cutting in and out of diets isn't healthy the body likes set standards. Stick with your diet and if you find your not loosing enough weight quick enough start weight/cardio training with it or increase it slightly if you are already doing it.


  2. Yes ... and no!! The 10lbs that you lose in the 3 days is nothing but water weight!! You're not losing fat or toning muscle, all you're doing is flushing excess water out of your system. You may lose the 10 pounds, but it's going right back on!! your better bet? eat less move more. eat fruits and vegetables with every meal and be sure to eat at least 3 times a day (if not 6 small meals). Being "thin" is about making healthy eating choices and being active.

  3. I did it and I lost 12lbs, then i gained back 15. So yes it works and much like every other "diet" you will just gain it back like I did.

    what has worked best for me is low carb. I have lost 25lbs in 3 months with a low carb diet and 30 minutes of daily exercise.

  4. You can not lose ten pounds in three days safely and it will just come right back when you go off the diet.  However, if you follow a nutrition plan and exercise you can lose ten pounds easily in 5 weeks.

    The average person can lose safely 1.5 to 2 pounds per week with nutrition and exercise.

    Calories are energy, you burn them constantly even when you are sleeping but if you are taking in more than you burn you will not lose weight.  You wouldn't put coca cola in your cars gas tank, don't put it in yours.  Good Luck!!!

  5. Sure but it wont stay off. The first two weeks of any diet most of the weight you lose is water weight. When you starting eating your usual way again, it will come back, sometimes with extra!

    So yeah do it. Lose 10 pounds but its not going to be permanent. Have fun with that, get the unhealthy diets out of the way and then start eating sensibly and doing it the right way to make it permanent.  

  6. my sister did the 3 day diet and she lost 15 lbs!

    yes it really works, but she gained it back within 2 weeks, because she said the diet was nasty so right after the 3rd day she ate everything she used too. but yes it does work, but its extremely easy to gain it back.


  7. First off, If you stay on the 2468 diet, you will starve and die, second yes, that diet does work, but the results are very hort term. Oh the crazy people of America....
