Anyone ever gotten married in Jamaica?

My fiance and I are going to Jamaica in a couple of weeks and we want to get married while there. Nothing fancy, we have both been married before. However many of the sites I have looked on say that you need to make prior application in order to get married. But when I called the ministry they said that you apply and get it the same day. Maybe they didn't understand or I didn't so could someone help me out? Thanks!

I got married in JA and all we did was tell a pastor and he did the rest...and we were only there for about 3 weeks......no worries you'll have plenty of time to get married.....Enjoy

http://www.listjamaica.com/weddings shows all requirements for getting married in Jamaica and who to contact. This site also states that you can get married 24 hours after arrival which means you can get the license on the same day.
