I think thats what its called, my lower belly (from the belly button down) is EXTREMELY itchy, it won't stop itching and if I do give in and itch it a little bit it actually hurts. I heard its a rash or something that pupps is, I can't really see my lower belly but when I look in the mirror I dont see a rash but my stretch marks are so red and purpley that I dont know if I could tell. Is the rash you get really noticeable?

  1. Yes - I was diagnosed yesterday . . . I think that I answered your previous question.  The give away for my doctor was that my stretch marks were raised and red in color, more like welts than lying flat or low on the skin.

The doctor can prescribe a steroid cream . . . but as I only have 4 ish days left, I passed on it.  He also told me that I can try anything over-the-counter.  I have been using calamine lotion and eucerin anti-itch cream.  It helps a bit but not all that much.  I have also found a cool towel across my stomach to provide a lot of relief.

Hope this helps and know that it will go away after the birth!

  2. I didn't have this last time or this time so far.  However, I do have crazy sensitive skin and just about anything can make me itch, and when I do scratch I immediately get welts.  The best thing for my skin and it may work for you to, it to put witch hazel on it.  For me it cools immediately and relieves the itching. Good Luck

  3. no, but my sister has had it. it is red itchy bumps, but they will most likely go away not long after you deliver. they say to stay cool and do not scratch.

  4. my stomach gets really itchy and i find rubbing a tone of palmers body butter all over my stomach really helps..try buying one of the palmer cocoa butter sticks and rubbing on your stretch marks

  5. i had them sooo bad!!! i thought i was then only one. one 1 out of 500 women get them. i itched night and day. i would wake myself up scratching. i got them around 34 weeks and they didn't go away until birth . my doctor gave me some medication and it slowed them a little bit but only birth will end them. you can get them on your legs, neck, stomach, feet, arms, and hands them only place they seem not to go is your face. they are extremely sensitive to heat. everytime my arms got in the sun...i looked like a crack addict trying to scratch them. lotion and creams make them worse. try rubbing your belly with alcohol pads or swabs because trying them out really helps. moisture only make them worse. you'll find showers or baths or even swimming will make you scratch like h**l. just ask the doctor for some medicine for them and it will help but they won't go away completely until birth

  6. my dog had puppies
