Anyone ever have a cop let you off a DUI?

I did the guy was nice parked my car for me and drove me home....Lucky me...

I was on leave from the service and spending many nights catching up on missed partying with my friends. On the way home one night, a cruiser got behind me and started to follow me. I tried to take a back way home but was a little bit out of it and ended up returning to the main road where I had original made my detour run. He had reasonable doubt at that time and pulled me over. I gave him my license, military ID and leave papers (as instructed prior to leaving the base). A field sobriety test was done and my motor skills, while sloppy, indicated I wasn't blind drunk. Another cruiser came and instead of being hauled off to the drunk tank, I was to follow the original officer's car and the second unit fell in behind me. As we reached the head of my road, they flashed the lights and drove off. I was borrowing my step-father's car at the time and they wrote ~HIM~ a ticket for an expired emissions sticker. There have been other instances, but that was the only one where I was asked to get out of the car and allowed to return.

Once when I was pulled over right in front of my house. I proved I lived there and the officer told to get my butt in the house and he would be looking for me.

I got pulled over for suspicion once -

Anyway my story:::  Cop asked me if I knew why he pulled me over - and I said I don't know - I know I wasn't speeding (I was actually driving under the speed limit by 5 or 10) - and he said they saw me swerve (HOnestly don't remember it) - and he had reason to believe I'd been drinking.  

Cop asked me what I had to drink that day and didn't seem to want to believe me when I said "water" so then I threw in "well I might have had some of my dd's juice" lol  - I dunno dd was 3 or 2 years old - pretty young

I told him I was scared ((regret that .....NEVER AGAIN)) he said it was understandable ((Cocky jerk))  & he made me get out - his buddy was standing in the dark - I didn't even know there was 2 of 'em till I got out - I only saw his face -

but there was another cop there -

and made me do the following flashlight or whatever.  

and other things (and HONEST all I could think was "OMG do NOT make me say the alphabet backwards!!!")  

Then I got home _ I did get soooo drunk that night (that was why I was going out - I was buying soda to make some drink) -

Since the cop was talking to me with the window rolled down - I am thinking it was a power trip to him to make me get out of the car & do all that stuff - He had to have smelled nothing (alcoholic) on my breath -

well that's my story - I don't drink & drive & heck If I ever thought of it that ONE experience scared the ***** outta me I ain't ever gonna do it ! lol
