  1. If you man some sort of ethereal or paranormal entities, they are in the same category as Father Christmas or the Tooth Fairy.  Most of us grow out of such beliefs by the time we are 12, but some take a little longer.

  2. EVPs are complete nonsense.  Why do people still believe that EVPs are the real deal?  Why has anyone ever believed in EVPs?  I used to just chalk it up to a fantasy-prone personality, but now I think it's just plain stupidity.  If a person investigated the EVP "phenomena" half as hard as they are "investigating" the "ghostly voices" themselves they would see how incredibly moronic the whole EVP concept is.

Allow me to demonstrate.  In order for EVPs to work we must assume the following:

a.) When people die they lose their bodies, but their spirit still roams about.

b.) That spirit is individually distinct.  In other words, it retains at the very least its memories.

c.) Despite having no physical presence (i.e. a body, a voice box, etc.) the spirit can somehow speak.

d.) This spiritual voice is inaudible to the human ear, but is recordable by electronic equipment.

e.) Spirits care about what happens in the "real world" and want to send us cryptic one-word messages despite the fact that we can't hear them.

f.) These EVPs have always been going on but we just weren't privy to them until we invented electronic equipment.

I could go on, but as anyone can see the mere idea--not to mention the physics--of EVPs are preposterous.  They are yet another example of a mix of fantasy, imagination and too much time to kill.

  3. mimics are considered frauds or fakes, not more than one but not being the right one. someone or thing pretending to be something it is not mimics the original.

  4. Peter was right about people not remaining on earth when we die. As a Christian that option is not available for me to believe.

However there are various forms of demons and angels that roam the earth.

Some demons prey on victims of the recently lost, by imitating those people. These might be the mimics they are refering to.

I know nothing about any entities called that, but there are tons of demons out there. Its estimated that there are more populous than humans. Also, remember, the voices would be coming from creatures who were never human, so do not trust what they say.

  5. The mimics are a new mime troup

With all the recording going on professionally and private, all over the world all the time, you would think EVP's would not wait for some "debunker" ghost buster to catch their voice.

If evp was not faked, it would show up on all recorded songs and tv, movie shows that use video tape with audio.

Funny you never hear of the movie and song editors having to spend all their time removing those pesky EVP from their body of work.

  6. Is  that a new mime troop ?

  7. yes. I have heard that before. It occasionally can be heard in shows such as X-Files, Super-natural, Kolchak the Night Stalker, and probably the Twi-light Zone, Ghosthunters, etc...

it sounds like it means about the same thing as a delayed shadow, as in death.
