I looked on fertility friend.com and my chart looks like i am ovulating now on day 38-40. My temps have been above 97.6 all week and have stayed 97.9-98.0 for 3 days now. Is this possible I am confused. Still no period!

  1. I have been told by Dr. Feinberg, reproductive endocrinologist and author of Syndrome O that ovulation occurs 17 days before an expected period.  I went through OI (ovulation induction) and for that cycle I ovulated on day 26.

  2. you can ovulate more than once in a cycle

  3. Yes this is entirely possible. Ovulation is always around 14 days before your NEXT period, so if your cycles are often 50 days long or so, then you should be ovulating right now. Certainly, if FF.com gives you a vertical ovulation line from today's temps (which it will probably do tomorrow if the temps stay up) then you should expect AF within a fortnight.

  4. Yes, it's very possible to ovulate late during a cycle.  Not everyone fits the 14 day mold!  If you are TTC, I hope you BDed before the last few days, because with the temp rise, your chance for this month is gone.  Once you confirm O, then you will have the two week wait to see if you did get preggo.  Good luck!
