Has anyone gone to or attends at a community college and failed a class and decided to retake the class?

If so have you retakin the class that you have failed with the same instructor/professor?

Since I have taken this math class on my 2007 Fall semester and failed not because I was lazy or irresponisble, but because I had so much things going on my head.

It tuns out that I'm going to retake that math class with the same instructor and I'm embarresed ashamed that I failed his class. But the instructor is a nice person, like when he noticed that I scored bad on the tests he told me that he was worried.

So what might the instructor think of me?Dumb lazy?

  1. He will both admire you for giving it another go and appreciate the fact that you do not blame your failure on him since you could have taken the course with another instructor.

The Chinese say:" Do not mind going slowly as long as you keep going."

  2. If he remembers you, he'll be happy to see that you didn't give up on your education.

From someone who has failed a couple of classes - make yourself a promise that your education is priority 1. Anyway, you shouldn't feel ashamed. Your work/effort will speak for itself.

  3. No.  The instructor will not see you as dumb or lazy.  He seems really nice since he showed concern for you in the first place.  If you are so concerned, I would talk to the professor after the first class and tell him what happened last time.  Also, and I hate to say it, if the class was a big lecture with 300 students or so, he might not even remember you.
