  1. At a junior college I did. In high school we had boxing in PE but with lawsuits and liability issues they no longer have it in PE. I remember back in the day you were able to spar at the gym but insurance issues are so sticky. The funny thing about the whole thing when you sign a waiver stating that the gym will not be responsible for any injuries whatsoever. It should apply. You can get hurt playing basketball at the gym or in PE. I saw a guy get busted up on the basketball court.

  2. What college are you going to?  There is about 30-40 colleges in the country that have boxing clubs.  I boxed for 4 years at Lock Haven University.  We trained, sparred, and competed against boxers from other schools.  Lock Haven is in central Pennsylvania, and I boxed opponents from Air Force, Univ of Reno, Penn St Univ, Naval Academy, Univ of Kentucky.  I boxed in New York City, Reno NV, Lexington KY, and Richmond VA.

    Hope this info helps.

  3. Never taken boxing, but have taken archery, and fencing (which really only involves touches, not punches!) in college.  But I recommend any PE class that is one of those non-regular types of sports--I find that they're great learning experiences!
