  1. I haven't.

  2. You buy the books ($1 for 10) and the bags.  I don't make any money at it, but my m-i-l  makes around $150 a week.  It just depends on how good of a salesman you are.

  3. Yes......not worth it unless you sell a tremendous amount of products.  Also you pay for everything.....from bags to samples...they throw in some stuff here and there but the commission is really  not enough to make a living.

  4. Hi I used to work for avon up until we week, ago I was with avon for over a year thought and I did enjoy it but the thing unless you have loads of customers you dont get very much money, and the pay isnt weekly its monthly, if you do get alot of orders you can make quite a bit of money but you never have an exact amount you can set by for recieving as like in my situation, some customers would order alot of products then the next time they didnt order anything or not very much, even thought the commisson you get with avon on what you sell is good you still need everyone of your customers to spend at least £30 each time you put a book in to get alot of money out of it.

I found that after the year my customers went down and last campain althought I made avon some money, I didnt earn a thing because it was under my set amount.

You do have to buy your books and bags, but at the end of the day its up to you how your buisiness goes, as everyone has nearly got an avon rep now, you dont tend to get many customers and sometimes you will get messed around and have to keep going back for books etc and the people say they want stuff and wont be in when you go back, then you have people buying loads of stuff then when you go and get the money for it they dont have it etc, but that doesnt help when you are a rep, as if someone doesnt want there stuff, or wants to send it back, you still have to pay the whole lot off and claim the money back, so in a way even you have alot of customers and someones put a £60 order in, (not that they do ) and they dont want anything you still have to pay the £60 that campain, not good if you are only working for avon that is.

I gave up because I couldnt really expect all my customers to keep spending around £20-30 each month, I only had 5 customers if that as sometimes they didnt get anything, with avon there is only so much your customers can buy and if they have everything they cannot buy the same stuff again. So I wasnt making everything and still having to pay for my books and samples.

xmas is a good time to do it, but its alot of runing around in the freezing cold weather and as most people work they wont be in till after tea in the afternoon and by then its pitch black, and you have to faf around in the dark with a tourch etc, and sometimes things from avon are really heavy like the bubble baths and shower gels and if you dont have a car etc, then you have to carry them, as well as other peoples stuff, I know my street was only round the corner from me, so it wasnt too far for me to walk, but still.

So really you dont make a certain amount as it depends on how much your customers spend in the long run and how many customers you have. its a bit of pocket money I guess say if you make £200 you will get £50 of it to yourself, but then you have to get your book which you can say is a £5 and samples etc. but you need alot of customers to make £200, and its not easy finding people who are rely able and who can rely on you also, as so many people dont trust reps, I didnt at first because I was always getting a rep and they wouldnt come back the next time and I wouldnt get my stuff, which is why I became a rep in the first place, but like I say since I didnt make anything I just gave up and if I want anything I will order online its cheaper lol

If you need to know or want to know anything else just email or IM me

Yes, you have to buy all the supplies. You don't make too much when you start out. I just started and made about $50 in two weeks. Campaigns last for 2 weeks, then send one order in, includes order for supplies. If you're really ambitious you can partner with businesses to sell more, ask salons if you can leave brochures there for people to look at, or you can do fundraisers which would probably rake in more dough. You can also become an eRep meaning you become a representative who sells online. As an eRep anyone in the country can buy from you cuz' of direct delivery which delivers directly to their home, like if you live in California and your relative buys from you in Georgia. For an eRep you have to sell to at least one person online each campaign if you want the $7.50 fee waived. The more people ordering online from you will increase earning percentage.

As an eRep you get your own website you can customise, like mine above. You can learn more here.

  6. Depending where you are in the world, the cost of the catalogues and bags vary, but you definately pay for them.  I did it for about 4 months then packed it in as I just wasn't a saleswoman.  I sold to friends and other mothers at a parent/toddler group but not many of them were interested.  If you opt to drop of in letterboxes and collect a few days later then your income should be much better.  i had few orders and probably made about £20 each order profit.  It was easy work and didn't take up much of my time, but I guess you get out what you put into it.  Have a look at www.avon.com

  7. worked 4 a couple of dayz and quit, as it was comission and i didnt have enuuf people to buy things soo i wernt gonna get paid. i didnt have to pay for the books.
