  1. I have worked on ship, not in your field tho. I made crazy money on tips. Most people vacation on ships and don"t pinch money.Had plenty of time for my self. Good luck !!!!!

  2. I heard you get a very small cabin to share, but you get days off to spend on the land with other employees.  You should have lots of fun, but work hard too.   That's what some of our waiters have told us.  See the world though??? You'd have to ask to be bounced around other ships, and I'm not sure if they'll do that?  Who know though...wish you luck!  Have fun!

  3. I current am working on a cruise ship and in the past year and a half (I'm on my second contract) I have see 5 continents and 43 different countries. my sixth continent will be in a week, Antarctica!

now for the reality check yes you will room with at least 1 other crew member. and be prepared for drills they are mandatory because safety is first. most of the time you will be able to get off in ports. just don't be late for the ship! hours can be long some times but you do get breaks. just remember your there to work.just don't let the job scare you its a different lifestyle but going to all the different places makes up for it.
