Anyone experience being taken advantage of money-wise while on a trip to Vietnam?

In tha airport, the workers told me that they wanted money or they would cause trouble (like extra searches and srict interpretation of the rules). I suspect it only happens to Vietnamese Americans. Anyone?

Actully it happens in some countries where people think that americans are very rich people and also can be blackmailed....

vietnamese have experienced americans so they know how to earn from them....
