  1. yeh

  2. Have your fiance do al the paperwork there pronto and police check and doctor. Make sure he has a valid passport too!  G'luck!

  3. I'll just share you what I've learned in my experience:

    * Make sure you take photos that have the date digitally printed on them.

    * If you hire legal help, still try to check and understand the whole process yourself (my lawyer left out some very obvious documents that set us back about 3 weeks).

    *KEEP EVERYTHING - receipts, phone bills, credit card bills, PLANE TICKET STUBS, anything & everything

    * Make sure you can support your fiance/fiancee - your salary or combined assets must be more than the national poverty level which is around 17,000-18,000 annually, or you can have someone sponsor, too.

    *Don't go ahead and set a date of when you think he/she will receive the visa, it will just discourage you. Every country is different, the internet says 4-6 months, but it has been six months for me and my fiance and we are still waiting just for his interview.

    *Do everything accurately throroughly. All they need is an excuse to deny you.

    If you want to make this work, from all that I've read, a fiancee/e visa is a good way to go.

  4. all fiance visas are very long to receive , and the process is very scrutinized !

    questions about the relationship;

    how long have you known one another ?

    proof of pictures

    communications ?

    go read here on the process of the USCIS :

  5. be patient...do what "they" say...follow all the directions to a tee...don't mess anything up
