  1. As a Cub and and seeing them freefall to lat place *as usual* I rather see the Cardinals win the NL Central as opposed to the Brewers.

  2. Hate to say it, but the Birds are out. The cubs will take the wild card and the Brew Crew are going to take the division title.

  3. I do. The Cubs fade, as you know, and the Brewers -- a really good team with a top-notch manager -- might make a liar out of me, but the Cardinals aren't even supposed to be good this year and look where they are. A hot streak or a good pick up or perhaps just wearing down all the others, and then there they are!

  4. Sorry, but it looks like the Brewers are gaining momentum.Their front office has made probably the best acquisition in getting Sabathia. An underrated trade was the one to get Ray Durham. He'll add veteran leadership and is definitely an upgrade over whoever they have at 2nd base.

I haven't seen the Cardinals make any trades, much to the chagrin of Tony LaRussa. They should have upgraded with more pitching like the Brewers and Cubs did.Now it doesn't look like there is a quality pitcher available.

Sorry,Cardinals fans, your team will be at home during the playoffs.

  5. I think the Cardinals and Brewers get into the playoffs.  The Cubs bullpen are falling apart and their hitting is slumping real bad.  Brewers will eventually start losing more but will take either the division or wildcard.  The Cardinals are getting a great boost when  Carpenter and Wainwright come back(possibly as the closer). That may adress 2 weaknesses and put them over the top.

  6. i seriously think that the cubs are out, not the cards.  The cardinals still show signs of life, even though they are ina tough slump (worst of the years).  The 5 game losing streak was the worst of the year, before their worst was only 3 losses in a row.  The brewers have an easier schedule, and has managed to stay above the rest even though their schedule has been the hardest so far.  The cubs have too many games in the second half facing the cardinals and the brewers, and they wont win enough of them to compete.  h**l, it looks like their about to be swept in wrigley!

I say brewers take the division, their team is so red hot its crazy.  Sabathia is winning games for them, but hes doing much more than that, hes bringing an insurmountable amount of confidence to the entire team.  Cardinals will hang in there, expect them to atleast take the wildcard unless the cubs go on a tear.  The Cardinals just got news from not just Wainright, but Carpenter as well.  Carpenter is expected to start wednesday! against the braves, and that will be extremely helpful.  Wainright should come back around that time as well, he threw some pitches recently and said he felt fantastic.

  7. No way! I'm an Astros fan all the way. Go 'Stros!

  8. I think it will be the brewers or cubs who win the NL central

but you never know if the Cards make a run

  9. 1. Cubs, get to world series but lose.

    2. Cardinals get wild card but lose in first round.

    3. Brewers will barely miss the playoffs.

    4. Reds will be under .500 yet again!!

    5. Astros make a late effort.

    6. Pirates- 16 losing seasons and counting with their horrendous pitching.

  10. I love the Cardinals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... Cubs haven't won the world series since the beginning of time! The Brewers have ONE pennant! HA HA HA!

I don't really like trashing people, but I am sick of some the Scrubs fans who feel like their team is the best in history.

Go El Birdos!... Whoops, I messed up... I think the Brewers will probably win the division.

  11. No, no one favors the cardinals. Also as usual LaRussa has filled his line up with Steroid junkies (Ankiel & Glaus) to name a few.  I don't even think those two got as much as a slap on the wrist by Pud Selig.

  12. Cards are too erratic really are missing A. Wainright and a confident closer. Brew crew is starting to hit and recent acquire of C.C. has paid off. Cubby's still need a bat and Kerry Wood back in the pen. Trouble is Kerry is not a guy who can turn it off and then turn it right back on. It's not a physical thing as much as it is a mental thing. If Cubs are smart they'll activate him from DL and ease him back as set up for  Marmol. Look what happened to Isringhausen, he will not reclaim his closer role.

    Brewers

  13. Well I never count the Cardinals out until they're mathematically out of it, but I just don't see them being able to hang with the Cubs and the Brewers.  I don't know why people think the Cubs can't win the division let alone the Wild Card when they've been leading the division the entire year and have had the best record in the NL the entire year.  The people that say the Cubs won't win it are just wishful thinking.  Just because they don't want the Cubs to win it they think they won't.  Just because the Cubs are in a small slump doesn't mean they're falling apart, they haven't had a slump at all this season up to this point so this is long overdue.

    Cubs win the NL Central

    Brewers win the Wild Card

  14. Man im a huge Cubs fan but Ryan Braun keeps hurting anyones chances other than the Brews to win the NL Central. The guy is too good.

  15. Yes the cards will either get the nl central or the wildcard no dought
