Question:

Anyone fitted a Molly Bather bath lift before?

Mother is elderly with arthritis in both legs and needs a bath lift of some sort, and the Molly Bather seems a very good solution.

The bathroom has a normal size bath next to a solid wall.

There is a window about 10" above the bath - is that OK?

I saw it on their website: www.molly-bather.co.uk and have most of the information I need, but would like to know if anyone has any experience of fitting one themselves?

  1. Hi Dave,

As the manufacturer of the Molly Bather bath lift, we can answer this for you no problem.

Your bathroom presents no problem, we would recommend the GB400x200 grab rail, with our standard Molly Bather system. The rail is only 8" (20cm) tall so will fit under the window perfectly.

  2. My parent's bathroom was quite small but managed to fit the Molly Bather bath lift in without any problems.

They had a solid wall which was a doddle with the standard GB350 rail. Sounds like you need one of their special window rails, saw on-line that the GB400x200 is for walls with windows - better check with them though.

By the way, everything came in the 'kit', even the wall & floor screws, as well as the battery, charger, slip-cushion, grab rail & Molly Bather.

They also were very helpful when I needed some technical advice.

    Good luck Gerry
