Anyone flown Emirates airline ?

Question

Flying to South Africa with Emirates later in the year..anyone tell me what they are like..?....what is their baggage allowance for the hold and the cabin [hope to take bag 56cmx45cmx24cm in cabin]..?..going via Dubai to J'bourg ...staying over Dubai what is there worth seeing there..any general info would help..thanks

Yes i have the baggae limit is 20kg MAX for hold baggage (economy) and 7kg for cabin baggage

the airline and service is one of the best

have not stayed in Dubai for a long period of time on my stopovers so cant recommend any place nice to go whilst in dubai

I have flown with Emirates to london recently and the service and endless servings of great tasting food is fantastic. Bag size should be okay. Sorry, i cannot help you more. Johannesburg is beautiful according to my niece who works/lives there .

I've flown Emirates and it was awful. Cold food, cold flight attendants and many of the other passengers got drunk and obnoxious. Flight was late into Dubai (on both the outgoing and return journies) so I missed my connections. Dubai airport is the pits, people sleeping on the floor, rip-off prices (the most expensive duty free I've ever been in) and aggressive, groping security staff.

Never again.
