Anyone found a good cure for getting rid of keloids?

  1. A keloid is a scar and you don't get rid of them.

    I had one and a plastic surgeon tried to fix it but when it healed, it just made another one.

    Some types of skin are prone to keloids and I think they are more common with black skin than white.

    They advertise creams and lotions but it's a waste of money because they don't work.


  2. I have about 4 of them and I just make sure to put lotion on everyday and use those stretch mark/scar creams and things. Over time mine have gotten alot better. I've heard time does alot as well.

  3. i have one from a cartlidge piercing..I got some vitamin e oil and I massage mine 2 x's a day for a couple of minutes. Massaging the keloid will help get the blood flow going so your body can break the scar tissue down . Mine has become a softer and a little smaller.

  4. they rarely will ever go away, because they're a form of scar tissue. however, tea tree oil tends to work wonders with all piercing complications. i had a small bump by my tragus piercing, and though it was not a keloid, the tea tree oil made it dissappear. hope i helped (:
