Anyone found the races boring due to the C.O.T.?

Question

Races seem boring to watch on TV now. If you are out front in the race you seem to stay there. Even @ the super speedways the racing is just alright. I miss the old cars.

The COT is making the races boring by reducing the talent a driver needs and putting the emphasis on Computer nerds who are spending millions on finding and setting up very minute changes to car.  Toyota is winning due to money spent on R&D (admittly with a good team)  No way Dodge, Chevy Ford can compete and why should thet since the COT is just one big Clone..  This is not the type of racing the fore fathers of NASCAR envisioned

88 Dominates stole my answer. LOL In addition, I love the safety of the new car as I don't want to watch anymore of my heroes die, but I frickin hate them! They look like Japanese street tuners or drift cars. But I applaud NASCAR for putting safety first. These engineers and crew chirfs are a slick bunch. Just hang in there and give em some time. I agree with you about missing the old cars. But for me, the old cars are from the 60s and 70s. Change sucks!!!!!!

I miss the old cars too but you have to be optimistic. Most of the  tracks we go to have had the CoT there already once before. And those races are more exciting than the others. my point is that the first time we go to a certain track with the new car, the racing is crappy-slightly entertaining. But the 2nd time, 3rd, 4th and so on, the racing gets better. It's all about time. Don't forget, this is still the first year with the CoT if you rule out last year's few races. Still a lot of working and learning going on.

I did at first but am coming around as the teams learn how to work with them. It is getting better, more like days of old.

I find the super speedways to be borning until the final 30 laps or so. The intermediate tracks can be hit or miss. The short tracks are hard to pass on so the field doesn't seem to make much change. The road courses don't seem to be affected by the change in cars. But, yes, some part of almost all the races turns to boring. The final laps, however, certainly seem to be pretty interesting at least of late.

Ya thats so true the plate tracks are the worst, then the 1.5 tracks, the only things thats the same is short track and road coarses. The racing has been horrible we need the old car back so bad.

YES they are extremely boring now a days.The only good thing about that COT car is the safety that it gives are drivers.I am a die hard fan so I will continue to watch, but I sure wish there was some more excitement going on, and I don't mean wrecks.. There is no challenge anymore.

i also miss the old cars. i know with the COT it's all about safety, but gives us back our Nascar. Race cars are suppose to go fast, not slow.

the only interesting races with the COT so far this year would be the Daytona 500, and Talladega.

i wonder what kind of season our drivers would be having this year if they were racing the old cars. would Tony Stewart , Jeff Gordon, and Kevin Harvick have a few wins under their belt already? would Kyle Busch be on this hot streak?
