Anyone from Castlegar b.c.? What's the employment like?

Used to live in Nelson which is about 35 mins from Castlegar.  The labour market there is steady but not flourishing.  Finding a job isn't impossible or all too difficult, but finding a quality job in a specific field isn't always easy.  Because it's a small place, locals generally get first dibs at jobs (depending on the job) but there are plenty of forestry positions always available.
