Anyone from Noosa here? (Qld)?

Question

Planning to move there and open a bar something noones done before ie no tehno or rap c**p.. And a few other suprises.. I'm pretty excited also wanting to go to Uni there, tossing up between Noosa and another place...

Where is the best place to live there? What are the people like?

What are the people like in Noosa? Who can say? The vast majority of them are from Victoria and places other than Queensland and they're the snobbish set from those places. You need to be very well off to live in Noosa itself and the prices in the restaurants and shops wouldn't be out of place in some of the most expensive cities in the world. It's all very trendy and smart and totally lacks soul. The beach completely disappears at a hint of high seas or wind.

The National Park is small but beautiful, but you have to park kms away from it unless you wait in a long queue at the gates in the very early morning and the tracks are crowded like a city footpath.

If you're thinking of going to USC, investigate more closely. My daughter has several friends who went there - every one ended up transferring to UQ or QUT within a couple of years. They all found their USC education to be almost completely useless at an internationally competitive uni.
