Anyone from buncrana ? or donegal in general and know about it ?

im just wondering if anyones been. i always knew i was half irish but i only just found exactly where im from, and its there :)

so whats it like?

Donelgal is in the republic of Ireland, a very beautiful place, and

in my opinion, highly recommended.

Go to a place called Harvey's point for a meal. also recommended.

Donegal is the county, the other is a district. Try getting the place up via the web site and view the pictures.  enjoy.

I've been to Buncrana. It's nice, but the local men are very macho. I ordered a Bailey's in a pub, my other half ordered a pint of Guinness, and I got contemptuous looks for my 'girl's' drink! I left early because I wanted to watch something on the television, and as soon as I was gone, one guy jumped up and told my other half: 'She's gone, now we can REALLY talk!' I was highly amused. Nice to know that some relics still live on ....

I live in Carndonagh (about 15 mins from FUNcrana haha)

It's nice...but I prefer Carndfonagh :D

PS- my mum and all her family are from there too. we could be related!
