Anyone from the Birmingham, Alabama area?

We evacuated here in Birmingham from New Orleans because of Gustav. We can't go home yet. I would like to know if anyone has suggestions of things to do or see in this area.

Steven's idea is good! Or, you can head over to Atlanta and visit Stone Mountain and the wonderful new aquarium. Much to do there, also.

Visit the civil rights museum.

There is a great mall in Birmingham called the Galleria.  There are over 200 stores.  There are also outlet mall in Boaz, about an hour's drive NE.  The zoo in Birmingham is nice too.

You can ride up 59 to Chattanooga,TN. Its a lot nicer and more to do there.
