  1. I agree with Molam--Newport, RI is awesome!!!

  2. Well, me and my husband live just outside boston, but what we do sometimes is get a hotel room in Boston, in an area we dont normally go - like the Weston in Copley. Then we go out for a romantic dinner, sit in the hot tub and relax. and walk around the city or shop or whatever. It's convenient and relaxing (turn off your cell phone). You can pretty much do this anywhere though. Look up hotels or Inns in an area you have not been, maybe one that has nice hiking trails like the Berkshires or NH or a nice romantic restaurant whatever you are into and stay there. Sometimes you can go on vacation without going far from home :)

  3. North Conway, NH or Lincoln, NH both in the White Mountains are nice places to visit with many things to do in their areas.

Old Orchard Beach in Maine is also a fun place to go but it is a little honky-tonk.

  4. Newport RI,  has a couple nice beaches, The Cliff Walk is free and can be beautiful in nice weather with the ocean on one side and the mansions on the other.  The downtown area is cute with shops and restaurants.

  5. I would say the cape, but it can be very pricey!

There are some really cute Inns up in Deer field.

Um, also in Maine are amazing inns where it is so quaint and affordable.

Bar Harbor Maine is amazing right on the ocean and the best Lobster!

Ct~ Fox woods, he he It can be very romantic and you don't have to gamble!

Newport Ri. is nice but expensive but again you could try and find cheap hotels and there is plenty to do!

  6. I was going to say the Cape, but you said it's too expensive. I live on Cape Cod and gas prices are actually going down a lot! It's $3.80 per gallon. I don't know what is expensive to you, but you can get a really cheap hotel and spend the weekend there and soak up some sun! I recommend Hyannis on the Cape, really nice beaches, close to everything, and you'll love it.

  7. York / York Beach, ME - small quaint seaside town, close to outlet shopping in Kittery. Not far from Boston. Not very expensive.

  8. Get a lovely room at an inn or at a B&B in NH's Monadnock area (which actually extends from about Hancock, NH to Princeton, MA).

Another suggestion: a B&B in the Berkshires and take in a Tanglewood concert.

  9. I live about 20 miles NW of Boston. Have you narrowed it down where you'd like to go?  It's very nice in Concord especially this time of year,or the fall when the leaves turn color. You can see the North Bridge which is walking distance from the center of town. Call the Colonial Inn for reservations and they will inform you of all the sites to see. Walden Pond is pretty and very historical if you enjoy that kind of thing. Many quaint restuarants locally too.
