Anyone get irritated gums or inflamed taste buds?

Question

Lately I have had several instances where I will get a certain spot on my gums that gets really inflamed and irritated and then goes away after a couple weeks and then I had a couple of inflamed taste buds that went away rather quickly, but I don't know if this is a sign that something else is going on that I should be worried about.
