  3. Whoa. Thanks for warning me. My family was thinkign about switching.

  4. I also got slammed by AT&T about 4 years ago , called the FCC, they cleared it up in a heart beat. its probaly the same rotine they pulled on me.

  5. A few years back I fell for the vonage scam. I was shocked when I got my first bill. the $24.95 a month ended up higher than my previous bill with verizon after they added line charges, and charges for untold items.  Vonage does not tell you, they rent the lines and equipment from your present carrier. I immediately went back to verizon, but it was a costly lesson. The same thing happens with home heating gas. These scammers come around promising if you sign with them, you will save %15. In the little tiny letters, it says it is only for 2 months, then they can raise you bill as high as they want. I didnt fall for that one.  Lets face it, nothing is free, and if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. ë¿~

  6. I am truly sorry that happened to you. I had Vonage about 4 months ago (and switched). It was a great company back then. The company that I switched to really is awful. Many of these broadband companies seem to be a joke. So hopefully if more people tell their stories Vonage may change their ways.

Anyway, I wish you the best.

  7. I hope they go outta business soon!!

  8. I've had Vonage for 3 years as a secondary phone, and I've never had any issues (except when my cable went out, even though it's suppose to forward to cell phone).  Sorry it was such a bad experience for you!  I use all the time for European calls and I don't have long distance on my home phone, we only use the vonage phone or cell (it's in a home office).
