Anyone go to UC Santa Cruz?

I'm considering going to this school next year. What is your opinion of the school? I've never been to visit yet.

A nice school, but I don't really like Santa Cruz and it seems like it would get boring pretty quickly.

Also, considered on the "lesser schools" in the UC system

I've partied there.

I don't know much about the school (it's supposed to be pretty good)but I've been there a lot. It's close to the ocean (bus ride away), there is an amusement park (Boardwalk) which kind of sucks now (lots of white trash people) but when I was a kid it was awesome, it's really beautiful there (oceans, beach, lots of trees, farm type land - It's amazing how diverse the scenery is there).

It is extremely expensive to live there.
