Going on my first cruise June 16th was wondering if anyone one else here will also be attending. Its the Carnival Imagination 5 Day Eastern Caribbean from Miami. Any experience with this ship or cruising tips are welcomed!

  1. Carnival Imagination is a gorgeous ship, especially since her recent major overhaul.  Great new water park, kids' and teens' clubs, and an adults-only sun deck and whirlpools.

There are some good pictures of Imagination here:

Oh, and I highly recommend: the pizza (esp. the goat's cheese one, sounds weird but it's delicious), the roast beef-and-brie sandwich from room service, and the melting chocolate cake on the main dining room's "always available" menu. Soooo yummy.

Also, for general cruise tips (packing check-list, what to expect onboard, how to stay healthy) there's a good "Know Before You Go" guide:

    Have a great time!

  2. I'm going on my second cruise with carnival in June.  My husband and I had a great time the first trip. Now we have a 4 year old and can't wait to take him too. Our next cruise is June 2 from New York on the Miracle. Hope you have fun! Bring lots'o memory cards for that camera! My tip wold be... bring snorkle stuff. People we went with last time brought a snorkle and goggles with them on the excersion, we hit the beach and the people there had snorkel stuff to rent but they had there own that they were sharing with everyone!! Seeing those fish right in front of you was so kewl. An underwater camera would have been great to have too. I'm taking one this time!

  3. Go to cruisecritic.com  There are rolls call boards that you can meet up with other people from your cruise!  There is also a ton of information on that board!!  I like it the best!!  Happy cruising!!

  4. What you need to do is go to cruisecritic.com and click on boards. Joining is free, then click on Roll Calls, find your cruise line, then your ship, then your date. You can get in contact with other people going on your same cruise. In Feb, we had around 40 people lined up for a sail away party. We all wore Marti Gras beads, so we could identify each other as cruisecritic.com members. Bon Voyage!!!

  5. I second Terri, CruiseCritic is great for first time cruisers, we met other folks online and have a cast away party.
