I live outside london, and work as an assistant manager for a branded restaurant. I work monday to friday 8am to 6pm, and i am finding it all a struggle to cope with.

I would say that my boss is ok with me going to hospital when needed, but i feel its a strain, on me and everyone else.

Are there any guidelines for employees undergoing treatments????

  1. I went through treatments while employed. It can be a challenge since things can be so timed and last minute. I was fortunate where my dr was not far from my job.  What I found easiest for me was to schedule the appointments either very early morning or on my lunch break to leave a minimal impact to my job. That is cool that your boss is flexible, make sure you give your appreciation there.

Not sure how your benefits work out in London as far as guidelines. Some places just require a Dr. note indicating where you are if there is impact to your work, however if you are able to adjust your schedule e.g. come late and leave late, then you should be ok. Ask your bossi f there is anythin you can provide to help and just try to schedule yoru appts either extra early or onlunch. Be flexible to work late as needed too. Good luck.
