Anyone gone snorkeling?

Question

Did anyone go snorkeling before? do u have to know how to swim, cuz i only know how to doggy paddle. also, can u go snorkeling with life vests, in shallow water? we might go on a cruise to the Bahamas. i wanted to know if its safe. thanks. Best Answer rewarded.

Snorkeling is possibly one of the safest of water activities. The good thing about snorkeling is you can move at your own pace and it can be as relaxed as you want it to be. A life jacket will help you float on the surface so you can spend more time enjoying the underwater life. I am going in a few weeks to the Bahamas for scuba diving and free diving. It should be pretty fun so if you end up going I would highly recommend snorkeling while there.

I have been snorkeling and it was absolutely safe!  Life vest were there for rent . Just remember to put sunscreen on the back of your legs.  The burns still haunt me. ;)

snorkeling is really fun and i think u should wear a life vest although i find them uncomfortable.And as he said,wear a ton of sun tan lotion becuz if u get sunburned on ur thighs and legs...Ow! It happened to me once and it hurts to sit down and lay down or walk.lolz have fun!
