i'm not that good at history =S so, can anyone answer these questions?

1. During what time peroid were the counties in the great plains region of Texas created?

2. In what areas of the state are the most-recently formed counties located?

3. When were most Texas counties created?

4. What part of Texas has the counties that are the largest in area?

5. El Paso County was the first county to be formed in the western part of Texas. Why do you think that county was created before any others in West Texas?

6. In genereal, how do the counties in East Texas differ from those in West Texas?

7. Why do you think so few counties were created between 1861 & 1869?
