Ugh, I have been surfing yahoo for ages, so i need some help. Can anyone find me an editorial or commentary on a world or national issue. Yea, it sounds easy, so best answer get 10 points =)

Your best bet is to go to www.cnn.com they have lots of info about current events or world/nation issues.

have you tried going to a national newspaper website?

is there a specific story you are looking for?  if not, then what's the problem?
