Anyone good @ figuring out paycheck statements? I am very confused about mine.?

I work in a restaurant both as a server and in the office. My paycheck fluctuates each week. Sometimes I get $300 other times $60. I know it has something to do with claiming tips but surely my weekly office work should always be the same amount? It is very confusing.

Not much info to go on, but...do you split tips with other employess on a shift?? Why would you get a check for 300 and then only for 60  or is the 60 included in the week you get the 300??? The office job should pay you a salary with taxes taken out each week, if you work the same hours each week in the office...A little more info on this to help you out......  ;)
