Anyone got any info on travelling from the island of brac in Croatia to Dubrovnik?

You can travel from Brač to Dubrovnik and vice versa by a Jadrolinija ferry (the main Croatian passenger shipping line). There's no direct service, I'm afraid. You'll have to go to Split or Hvar and take the ferry from there, because Brac is the most accessible island from Split. Have a look at the detailed info here:
