    Sour Cream Rhubarb Crumb Pie

    This is a very good recipe. I brought this pie to a church pot luck and it got great reviews.

    Pastry for a single crust 10 inch pie

    4 c cubed rhubarb

    1½ c white sugar

    ⅓ c flour

    1 c sour cream

    TOPPING (mix together until crumbly)

    ½ c flour

    ½ c brown sugar

    ¼ c softened butter

    Line a 9 or 10 inch pie plate with pastry. Trim even with the edge of the pie plate. Arrange rhubarb in the pie shell. Mix together the sugar, flour and sour cream until smooth. Pour over rhubarb and sprinkle the top with the crumb topping. Bake at 450° for 15 minutes, reduce heat to 350° and bake another 30 minutes.

  3. This is yummy and easy to make. Instead of pork you can use chicken or beef if you prefer. Tastes great either way! Enjoy...

    Pork Chops with Rhubarb

    INGREDIENTS

        * salt and pepper to taste

        * 2 (1/2 inch thick) bone-in pork loin chops

        * 2 tablespoons butter or margarine

        * 1/2 pound fresh or frozen chopped rhubarb

        * 1 tablespoon honey

        * 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon

        * 1 1/2 teaspoons minced fresh parsley

    DIRECTIONS

       1. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the flour, salt and pepper; add pork chops and shake to coat. In a skillet, cook the chops in butter until juices run clear. Remove and keep warm. 4. I love rhubarb, I would probably make some wine from it and a crumble or just stew it and serve with yoghurt, this is a good site though: http://www.rhubarbrecipes.co.uk/

  5. Rhubarb has a great flavour that goes well with ginger.  Why not sweat off chopped rhubarb and ginger in some butter then add a little water and sugar stew off until the rhubarb is soft then serve with plain youghurt.  This mixture can also be served on pancakes as something more substantial.

  6. sorry to say but there aren't any savory dishes with rhubarb....it's a very tart food and that's why it's usually made into pies or jams because you have to add a LOT of sugar to make it even taste good.  It isn't made to be  like a main dish meal because have you ever eaten the stuff raw?  You would know what I mean

  7. Only things i know is jam, crumble or fool lol i haven't really seen much rhubarb dishes.

    I do love a good crumble with loads of custard though yum!!
