  1. i was on bt had lots of problems then i switched to sky and i have not had any problems so i would recommend it to anyone

  2. The Sky Broadband will be as reliable as any other provider, some people who live far away from the telephone exchange may experience some slight teething problem to begin with as you would with any other provider but quick call to tech support usually cures this.

In other words its not the reliability of the provider its usually the setup with in your house that causes instability's.

  3. i dont have it. But i have cox communications and their good.

  4. i have the sky packaged that includes broadband, telephone and sky program packag - no prbs at all - all sent through post - installed easily and much cheaper

  5. I have two experiences with Sky broadband.

In the first, I was around 4 miles from the exchange. My speed way 4 megabits/sec and was constantly losing the connection. Every few minutes on some occasions...

In my second, I am only 2 miles from the same exchange. My speed is 8 megabits/sec and the connection is solid as a rock.

My major gripe with Sky is the modem/router. It overheats and is very unreliable. Find your username & password (http://philbridges.com/?p=42) and use your current setup of modem/router. This will, technically, breach Sky's terms & conditions but this is a support issue, rather than an unauthorised equipment issue.

  6. Yeah it's fine

  7. i have sky broadband and r nt to happy... it doesnt do much good - im going back to tiscali...

  8. I switched from BT to Sky.

I would recomend it to everyone.

Admittedly there have been a few problems, but sky always sorts them out really fast.

It's easy to set up, even my completely computer useless mother could do it.

I would definitely recommend you move to sky! :)

    Hope i've helped!

    x

  9. I was a Sky engineer and despite being able to have Sky broadband free I would not touch it.  This is mainly due to two things, one being the contention ratios being rubbish (which can make your broadband slower than dial up) and also there is the fact that Sky will say 'just £5' or whatever the current deal is but in fact you still have to pay a BT line rental on top of this which means that you are talking on average between £20 and £30 per month for a poor quality connection when you can go to www.UtilitySaving.Biz and get a much better service for under half the price which includes your phone line rental and gives you unlimited free calls as well

    I hope that this helps!

  10. Yes I have it, I pay the extra fiver for the fast broadband but I have never had any problems with it, I got it when they first started doing it, but what I would say is get yourself a better modem if you are using wireless because my wireless connection is rubbish, poor signal
