Anyone had a fibroid while pregnant?

Question

During my first ultrasound the doctor noticed a fibroid. He said it was not harmful to the baby, but I read that it could make the placenta come unattached. Do anyone have any experience with this? How was your pregnancy? and could you have a vaginal birth? Thanks in advance!

I haven't given birth yet but I have a fibroid on the outside of my uterus. It started off as the size of the top of a pencil eraser and is now 5cm in diameter but has not grown since 15 weeks. My dr isnt worried about it because 1-it hasn't grown since 2- the baby is developing normally at normal pace. at around 20 weeks I did have lots of pain associated with it and was out of work for 4 days because of where my uterus was situated at that point so it caused pressure on my sciatic nerve. I am now 29 weeks 5 days and the baby is doing great so far. he said the location and size at the time of labor will determine whether i can have a vaginal birth or if I would need to have a c section as well as if there is enough room for him to turn.
