Anyone had a partial hysterectomy?

i have severe endometriosis and partial hysterectomy is recommended, leaving my ovaries in place.has anyone been thru this? Is it anything like recovery from a c-section and did it affect your s*x life? I have been told it can make o****m nearly impossible due to the changes?? how long will i have to stay off my feet, as i have 2 kids ages 8 and 12............ how painful is it, i mean ive been thru 2 c-sections......

The main thing that makes o****m nearly impossible is getting  your ovaries removed. Getting your uterus removed CAN have that effect, but the chances are much less--many women, in fact, find their s*x lives have improved due to the end of all the pain and problems they had before the hysterectomy. Unfortunately, due to the confusion many have about what organs are removed in hysterectomy (sometimes just uterus, as with you, sometimes uterus and tubes), these problems get lumped together incorrectly.
