i was at a royals game and had a problem with the guy in front of me. i go to about 5 home royals games a year and never had a problem like this. i was with a group of friends and we came to sit down and apparently my knee bumped the guy in front of me. (i didnt even notice adn he didnt say anything.) i went to the bathroom after the 3rd inning and came back and bumped him accidentally. he stands up and turns around and says "now thats twice, it happens again and there is gonna be trouble" i was shocked. i ended up losing my cool somewhat but the guy and his 2 25 year old sons were getting pissed at me. i started off by saying "take it easy, i didnt mean to, im sorry" then i lost my cool and told him to "sit the **** down" and stuff like that. he got security and i had to move seats. by the way, he was like 60 years old and im 17. has anyone else had a moment like this? and do you think i was overreacting?

  1. You were in the right. You apologized. That should have ended the matter. The old man was clearly looking for strife, and he was feeling frisky with his two "henchmen" in the house.

I'm all about the soft answer turning away wrath, but I try to impart a feeling of impending doom along with it.

For example, when this gentleman said"There will be trouble" I would have said "Oh dear! That sounds ominous. What sort of trouble,my dear man?"

In the final analysis, prolly best you had spoken to an usher or security as soon as this guy threatened you.

BTW,we have given up on the Reds for this season.

  2. I think both of you over-reacted somewhat.  He overreacted for getting in your face for such small issue, when a simple excuse me, would you mind watching your steps, would do.  And you overreacted as you also got in his face, though I can understand that.

  3. i was at a nyy game and i  wanted to move my seat up becase no1 was sitting there but then they came bak and told us to move rudley they were oddly orioles fans they seem quiet but there not

umm you were a little over reacting but right if you bumed him by accident you deserve to not gett yelled at and when he treatend yo that was wrong. You said sorry then you be the bigger 1 and end the c**p lol i enjoyed reading this questing heres a star!

  4. that reminds me i had a huge problem with gamestop attuide i was not please and the guy bump into me.

I didn't look in back nor did i care than i bump into him but you know i was in a heated moment he tried to say i ment to do it.

I wouldn't worry about it. he just trying to act tough.

  5. The whole situation was blown out of proportion. You know that if someone hit you in the back two times you would be pretty pissed off. It is also common (like the other person wrote) to get a beer spilled down your back or an elbow, even a kick, but, common courteousy would be to apologize. Most people understand that those tiny little seats squeezed together is a tight fit, just sometimes you will nudge that wrong person. I guess, oh well, and brush it off... next time don't let it affect you that much. You definitely do not want to be in some sort of altercation and not be allowed back into the stadium, ya know? Fair or not fair, you were lucky that they just moved you. The main thing is that you apologized, but you should have left it at that... we all live and learn.

  6. i went to a fl panthers game with some friends from buffaloe to watch the Sabre's play. one of my friends was excited to watch a hockey game live for the first time and apparently was being "too loud" for the panthers fans in front of us. (panthers were losing bad) a few of them stood up and turned around to tell my friend to shut up and we weren't exhibiting "proper hockey behavior". any other arena in the world it is easily ten times louder then the panthers arena. it disgusts me how bad the panthers fans are. anyways i thought that was over the line and told them something to the effect of them being sore losers and if they would sit down shut up about us and start cheering for their team it might be an exciting game to watch, i also gave them the finger, well two of them, one on each hand. they didn't like that very much, but there was actually more Sabre's fans in the area we were in and the guys lost their nerve staring at all the guys who would back me up.

  7. You nudged his oversized backstop and he was hoping you would. If  your apologies aren't accepted thats when you lose your cool. If you would have added an "Old Man", to the end of sit down, that would have been better. Provoke the old man   to bring his trouble your a minor and adults assaulting you not to mention threatening you. That son of a ***** should have been relocated. Call the Royals and place a formal complaint don't forget the security man. By the way you nudged him, well I've seen 64 ounce beers go down the peoples back, and the worst was UCLA football fans at the Rose Bowl who threw p**s on USC fans.
