  1. I saw a drunken ghost the other day in my local I think he was a Methylated Spirit!!

  2. Hi

I'm Stanley, and here is the first story of something which frightend the life out of me as a child, and  still makes me wonder how that door came open on it's own!!!!

Do you think it could have been the hand of the Executed Patron Saint????

The story that I am going to tell you now, is true, as this happened to me when I was only about 12-13 yrs of age when I was evacuated to Marlow in Buckinghamshire during the 2nd. World War.

I had three different lodgings when I lived there, and only saw my Father once a month when he came down to stay for a long weekend. It was not until the bombing got that bad in London, that he came to stay for much longer periods.

He got himself a job doing war work in a very large old mansion named Marlow Place (1720) which was built for George 11 (who reigned there (1727-60) when he was Prince of Wales,

    http://www.marlowtown.co.uk/marlhist.htm...

Today  the mansion is still there, and is just round the corner  to where the Regal Cinema used to be, and is  a short distance from the Marlow Weir Expansion Bridge.

The place was set in about 12 acres of land, and was surrounded by a huge 20ft high wall, and my father used to be an A.R.P firewatcher there at the weekends.

On some weekends I would some times go there to keep him company during the day and also to wander round this mansion and to pick flowers and fruit for the people that I was living with.

My father’s favourite place was in the very long large room at the back facing the gardens and where he used to have his afternoons sleep on a long table in the room.

Well one lovely Saturday afternoon when my father was doing his usual thing sleeping on the table, and being a bit bored by having no one to talk to. I decided to explore around this very large room that had dark brown wood panelling from the floor to the ceiling.

At the bottom of the room there was a very large old-fashioned wooden door that had a metal lift up and down door latch the same type as you see on a garden gate.

As I was always an inquisitive kid, I decided to see if there might be a secret opening somewhere in that panelling, so I started to tap on the panelling all the way around the room looking for one.

I had got around to where the door was! When all of a sudden I saw the door latch lift up and the door slowly came open on its own to about 12 inches. I froze, expecting some body to walk in, but nobody did!

It must have been a little while when I had recovered from the shock, that I had enough courage to go over to the door and look out into the large dark hallway outside. But there was nothing to be seen!

On the left hand side just outside the door in the hallway, there were some steps leading down to the entrance of a tunnel, which runs under the river Thames to a very old chapel about half a mile away on the opposite side of the river.

In this chapel, and it probably is still there today, was an embalmed hand on show in a glass case of an executed Patron Saint.

Now the very strange thing about this story is that being wartime the tunnel had been bricked up just down those steps because in the event of an invasion, enemy troops could not use it to get through from the other side of the Thames.

When the door latch lifted up and the door came open, it did not make any noise to waken my Dad, so I had to go and shake him to get up, and show and tell him exactly what had happened.

I think it made him a bit nervous, as he then found a torch and we both went down those steps to where this tunnel had been bricked up but found that everything was all right. We then both looked over the whole place and could not see any signs that someone may have broken in.

Even today how that latch lifted up on its own accord, still remains a mystery in my mind. I do know though, that as a youngster it frightened the life out of me, and I said to my father that I didn’t know how he could stay there all on his own.

I said to him at the time, that as much as I used to like to come and keep him company. I would from that day on. Never set foot in that house again. And I never did!

  3. I was in Edinburgh Castle on the 3rd November, 2005. I was in the Queens Jewels holding area, and I went into a corner, and every minuete or so, I felt an arm reaching onto me.

After moving I kept seeing faces beside the jewels, also hands as if too reach out..

Got me very spooked out, and I haven't re-joined since, was so realistic.

  4. I have always lived with strange phenomenon, too much to write about here.

I have lived in a brand new house which was haunted by the most evil entity, myself, my son & daughter were all petrified to go about the house on our own.My husband who was a poo-pooer of any kind of ghost type things eventually was not very easy when going about the house. The letterbox which had an extremely strong spring on it( so much so the postie used to have trouble with it) would flap a lot as if someone was getting hold of it and letting it go. The atmosphere was always cold.

The land that the house had been built on had once been a holiday caravan site, apart from that nothing ever had been built on it. However, since leaving that house I have done some research, and looked at maps, and it appears that the house was built on the crossing of very strong ley lines.

The house I live in now also has many orbs. I can live with those, although they can be a nuisance when trying to take photos indoors. We also have a pleasant smell of Roses occassionally when we go from the lounge to the kitchen when we don't have any flowers or room fresheners of that type of perfume in the rooms.

  5. I have at least 3 spirits living in my house with me. We all live quite happily together, they even show themselves occassionally.  I "see" spirits all the time, and sense things about them....moods etc. It's just a way of life for me. xx

  6. Yes quite recenyly,Iwas sat on my bed coming my hair early evening, and felt ,who i thoughy was my husband squeeze my hips from behind, told him to get off, only ehen i turned around,he wasnt there, infact he was in the garden having a smoke, Ive never mooved so fast in my life, and wont stay in there long on my own since,,,,,,Scary.?

  7. Yes,

As a matter of fact. My brother used to mess around with the cult. He use to practice his spells and stuff in our house the same room I slept in after the year of these things.  I used to experience creepy haunting things at night. In a Demonic way.  I never felt safe but its chill now.

  8. yeah, I had a semi see through grey humanoid like thing walking around my house for many weeks.. It would walk back and forth from the kitchen to the bedrooms... I'm 100% sure I saw it, as i saw it over and over and over.. Really freaked me out.. but after seeing a couple more ghost like things, i kinda calmed down about it..

  9. Yes, several.

One was a few years ago, early morning, on my way to work (BTW, first day of work at my new job). I had stopped at a red light and waiting for the green light to keep on going straight. Same thing did the car on the opposite lane, but waiting for the green light to turn left. All of a sudden I see a van coming at high speed from behind that other car, not stopping a bit but crashing into it from behind. It was a narrow 2 way lane only, and we were very closed one from the other. The crashed car was impelled forward towards mines (let's remember that had its wheels positioned to make a turn). The driver from the crashed car had been caught by surprise and instead of breaking had pressed the accelerator instead. Needless to say, all these happened in a fraction of a time and let me with no time, no room where to move, and no possibilities at all, not even time enough to open the driver's door and attempt a jump to safety. Things are that there was no hope at all, the frontal crash was inminent, and by the time the other car's driver and me looked straight into others eyes it was like in those plane crash movies that both pilots look with horror at each other in the eyes right the second before the crash would occur. So I grabbed the driving wheel firmly with my both hands and instinctively closed my eyes tightly and hold my breath ready to be crashed to fatality, ...but nothing happened! It seemed forever, because I was still there with my eyes closed, holding my breath, with time frozen and my life that by then should have ended dramatically but hadn't. So I opened them and looked around looking for the other car trying to understand if I was indeed still alive or already dead.

People was running out from their cars and homes in our aid and screaming Are you OK? They were in shock as much as we both drivers were. They had witnessed that ours was a h**l of a car crash in progress with no way out. And them themselves didn't have time to realize that since we hadn't crashed, there was no reason why to be hurt in any way.

The other car had managed to stop...but...behind mines!

The other car had no room to maneuver simply because there was no distance left between both of us, and there was no way that the other car could have made a sharp turn to avoid the frontal crash, least yet without at least crashing into one corner of mines. Should that car had managed to make a sharp turn at the very last second, would have nonetheless crashed into mines in an angle, and would not be able at all to make another instant turn to the right to end behind mines. BTW, by my rear right there was a light pole leaving no room for a car to make it between that pole and my car neither.

So well, I jumped out from my car that was still running and rushed to the other driver. It was a woman and was paralyzed in shock, breathing with difficulty, in total distress, and could no talk because was in shock. I remember that the first thing that I told her was to comfort her and to relieve her, and to update her the status of our "crash". I told her that I was the person she was going to crash into but that I was OK and so was she, simply because the crash didn't happen. I explained to her that she was in shock and that the paramedics were on their way. She couldn't talk nor move (I did all the talk) and she would follow my words closely like sort of trusting and relying on my instructions without hesitation. I grabbed her cell and called her sister, explained to her briefly that we were involved in a crash but that we had made it safe and sound, only thing that this other one was in shock and would be checked by the paramedics, and that would be advisable if a relative could come.

Well, to date, I have no logical explanation to how come we crashed without crashing. Many times I have gone over and over every instant and instance, and I have visited the site of the "crash" so many times as well.

Crazy as it may sound, there is an explanation somewhere, but certainly not within the variables we know or accept in this world. I know what I went through, I know that I closed my eyes the very instant we were to crash because there was nothing left to do nor to wish for. Is a hollow silent moment where and when the world and ones world and time stops, becomes a whole in itself.

I, she, or both, must have passed or been taken to another dimension for a couple of seconds at the time of the crash. Maybe one of us not being in this dimension is what dematerialized one of the cars or both at the time of the crash, thus one of the cars passing through the other untouched. And this also, is my only explanation to why her car ended behind mines.

Isn't this spooky? To me it is. And so spooky that I wondered if I am really alive or if I am dead instead but still thinking that I am alive. I don't know a thing for sure since then, because I don't have a logical explanation. All I am left with is with my ongoing life, still driving the same car, and a paranormal explanation instead.

  10. About fifteen years ago I required a cylinder head for a Came-bridge car so I advertised in the local press, the next morning I told my wife I had a dream that someone from Gt Malvern contacted me to say he had one, and since I only new one area of this town, I described to my wife exactly the house on the crest of the hill where the person lived, I said the unusual thing about it, he had this oily cylinder head on newspaper in his lounge. and about 6PM that day I had a call to purchase this cylinder head, the house was precisely as the dream and guess what" he carried the head out of his lounge. "There is no exaggeration in this story "

  11. i was at a girls night out, and we had a fortune teller to entertain us, everything she predicted to mehas happened and that was 5 years ago,,,,,,,,,,spoooky

  12. I've had many spooky things happening to me throughout the years.  The least spookiest of them would have to be when one day while I was walking through the shopping mall, everything went pitch black darkness and since I couldn't see a thing, I stopped dead in my tracks and then a movie screen popped up infront of me and then I saw an event playing out on screen which by the way was a young woman goofing off running up and down an escalator but then she tripped and her shirt got jammed up in the escalator and she was dragged by it.  Then the movie stopped and and lights went back on, then I turned around and started to walk back towards the escalator area to tell the young woman to stop but as soon as I reached the escalator and I saw it all play out just like in the vision I just had; that was totally spooky.  I couldn't figure out why I was to have the premonition but couldn't stop it from coming true.

  13. My granddaughter from a very early age had two so called imaginary friends called Bula Bula and Galla Galla. She talked about them and to them all the time. She would talk. listen and then respond. One day when she was two I passed her bedroom and heard what I can only describe as an exorcist voice. I peeped in and she was saying, ' Where have you been?' Then listening, then replying. Then her voice went deep and her eyes rolled in her head and she started to say'I will kill you now' and making choking sounds. I went into her bedroom and she became normal again and said Bula Bula had been there. She also used to say she had told him he wasn't allowed to come to nursery with her as he kept telling her to do naughty things. I asked her what he looked like and she said he was old, a man, had a black face and white hair.

I had told my friend at work whao has an African Husband as the names sounded African to me. She asked him if they were African words and he said they were and that the Bula Bula was a wise, spitritual revered man in his tribe and that Galla Galla was African too. He also said the last Bula Bula he remembers was about 75 with white hair. How could a two year old living in Lancashire know any of this? She stopped talking about him when she was about 5 years old. I'm not sure if all children have these abilities bit surpress them when they get older so they do not get ridiculed at school. Her sister says she sees 'old grandma' who when she describes her is her great grandma who she has never seen. Her great grandma died a few weeks before she was born. We have lots of spooky things happen in our family.

  14. i always see black shadows crawling up my bedroom wall and ceiling, and sometimes i am awoken by something poking me, but there is no one there. Also, my bedroom is always very cold, it wont get warm. I am interested in the paranormal too, and i have loads of most haunted dvd's =] but if i watch them in my bedroom then things start to happen.

  15. all the time.  I'm an amateur paranormal investigator/paranormal warrior so I go anywhere and everywhere I can to seek out "spooky" happenings.  Most of mine happen right here at home though... demons seem to like bugging me for some reason- just a few weeks ago there was a demon named Nefandus in my basement... I don't know what i did to invite him in but he wouldnt let me leave the room- like when i would try there was this paralysis that came over me and so i had to get back into the room before i could breathe right again.  that happens alot actually but Nefandus was by far my most powerful demon yet.  none of the others had been able to physically keep me in a room so that was kreepee... but we got rid of him so yep.

  16. Aye right

  17. No, never.

I've never been asked this question before either.  Just kidding.  It's asked all the time.  So if you don't like any of these answers I encourage you to search through older questions for more.
