Anyone had or know about Puffy eyes swollen eyelids with severe tonsilitis and chest infection?

Why puffy eyelids no eye infection just tonsils horrible cough etc

  1. Man flu.

    Take to your bed.  Lemsip it to the hilt.  Plenty of water in between.

    If the chest infection is THAT bad, ask the doc for some antibiotics.

    Give yourself about a week and you should be on the mend.


  2. are you sure you don't have a secondary infection in your eyes? might be a reaction to medication. if you haven't seen doc then do so

  3. Your upper airways and throat are very close to each other. The back of your throat has the eustachion tubes which connect to your ears, throat near nose which the lacrimal ducts drain into... they start at your eyes, so they're all connected.

    You may have coughed, putting your hand in front of your mouth and then inadvertently rubbed your eyes. The bacteria may have got into your eyes.

    Just being ill can make your eyelids go puffy.

    Sounds like you need to see a doctor.
