Anyone had problems with 05 Ford Escapes with the Power Control Modules. They tell me this is not a recall?

A technical advisory has been issued about this problem, is there another way out other than replacing the module. The engine light comes on the the car shudders, hardly able to drive it.

a tsb is a service bullitin about some vehicals that have had an issue, it is for ford technicians a recall is a saftey concern and 7 escapes out of 10000 is not a recall, if your off warranty suck it up and pay the bill

yup not a recall but cover under warranty for 5 years.  unless your mileage is over
