What IS it with chi-chi foo-foo "steakhouse" and "colossus" and "bacon wrapped" burgers?

Whatever happened to a hamburger, grilled over charcoal, and served with lettuce, onions, relish, mayonnaise, mustard and mayonnaise on a bun?

Is that simply just too simple and plebian for people to do, anymore?

No. I have not tried it because I do not care for the "char broiled" taste of the burgers from Burger King.
