  1. Yes.  You can read it here for free:

  2. I know there are books you can buy that have Shakespeare's text printed on one side of the page and an "updated" version on the other side, so you can read the actual play and then refer to the newer version if you need help. I don't know the name of the series but I've seen them pretty often in Barnes and Noble and Borders.

Honestly, though, Julius Caesar is one of the easier plays to understand if you're not familiar with Shakespeare. It's pretty straightforward, especially if you know the basic historical events behind the play. I would get an edition of Shakespeare that has a glossary translating the harder words and phrases and see how well you do with it. You'll get more out of it in the end than by reading a "translation" that just gives you the gist of the story without including any of the things that make Shakespeare so wonderful to read.

  3. No real offense meant, but this sounds like an assignment.

Whether or not you find Willie easy to read, to have it translated or homogenized is to lose HIS POINT. In his era, 500 years ago, he wrote as many already spoke, albeit in a more poetic way.

  4. Dude I had to read that and Hamlet both in High School and Barnes and Noble helped me sooo much. They (SparkNotes) make a line of books called "No Fear Shakespeare" that can be purchased for like $10. It has Shakespeare on the right side and a modern translation on the left side. It saved my butt, you should really look into it.
